Power Clean (hang below knee)

Bodyweight Strength - This lift will be performed exactly like a Hang Clean (below the knee) except that in this version you will not drop into the Front Squat position to catch the bar.  You will catch the bar in the full upright position as in the Power Clean.  

This is an excellent exercise for developing explosiveness with an amortization phase, which is useful to almost all sports.  This is why this particular version of the Clean is one of the very favorites of strength coaches worldwide.  As always, explosiveness is a very functional part of bodyweight strength because it enhances jumping ability, sprinting ability, and basically every other athletic ability that involves rapid or powerful movement of the body.
