Walking Lunges (barbell)
Walking Lunges performed with a barbell are performed exactly the same as Stepping Lunges with a barbell except that on Walking Lunges after lunging forward and down you will actually bring the back foot forward and place it next to the front foot (rather than bringing the front foot back to the starting position to stand next to the back foot). In this way, the Walking Lunge will actually steadily move you across the room so this exercise requires a large space to be performed.
As with the Stepping Lunge, this is a very functional exercise for real life that develops bodyweight strength and then allows you to add weight to the exercise as you gain strength by adding weight to a barbell on the back of your shoulders.
