Standing Wrist Curls
Standing Wrist Curls are another solid forearm and wrist strength builder and they hit the belly of the forearm muscle from a different angle than regular Wrist Curls because this version is performed standing up with the forearms hanging vertically rather than sitting down with the forearms in a horizontal position. Wrist and forearms strength are of paramount importance for many bodyweight strength exercises such as Pull-ups. If your grip and forearms strength is weak, then your bodyweight strength will be severely limited.
Simply hold a barbell behind your back with your palms faced away from you and let the bar roll down to your fingertips and then curl it back up with the fingers and then the wrists. After squeezing the forearms as tightly as possible at the top, let the wrists extend back down again and let the fingers extends again as well. Repeat for the planned number of repetitions.
