Stading Barbell Curls

The Standing Barbell Curl is probably the most basic and most classic bicep exercise in existence. It builds overall bicep strength and muscle which contributes greatly to strengthening your arms for important bodyweight strength movements such as chin-ups and pull-ups.

The technique is simple: Stand with a barbell in front of you, holding it with an underhand shoulder width grip (palms facing away from you), and curl he barbell up using your biceps (without curling your wrists or moving your elbows at all). Once the barbell has curled upwards as far as possible without moving the elbows or curling the wrists, lower it again and smoothly transition into the next rep.
