Deadlift (sumo style)
The Sumo Style Deadlift is a fantastic bodyweight based exercise that moves the body through space in a very natural motion. It is an excellent exercise for enhancing total body strength, bodyweight strength, core stability, and the coordination of nearly all of the muscles in the entire body all at once.
The Sumo Deadlift is performed exactly like a traditional clean grip Deadlift except that instead of the feet being at a hip width stance and the arms at shoulder width, the feet will be placed at a very wide stance and the hands will be placed at a shoulder width stance. The exact width of your stance will vary depending on personal preference but the only requirement is that the feet be wide enough that your arms and legs do not bump into each other during your performance of the exercise.
