Can Anyone Achieve Bodyweight Strength?
Absolutely. Anyone with an average physique (that does not possess some kind of serious physical limitation) can set out to achieve a very high degree of bodyweight strength. Even if you are naturally a chubby person, you can eventually obtain a very high degree of functionally useful bodyweight strength if you apply your efforts wisely and consistently.
Obviously, mastery of bodyweight strength will come easier for someone who is naturally skinny than for someone who is naturally stocky. But it does not mean that it is impossible for the stocky person.
Keep in mind that bodyweight strength is the result of a the marriage of two aspects:
The skinny person is naturally lighter so the bodyweight aspect will be easier for him or her. However, the naturally stocky person is typically also naturally stronger so that aspect will be easier for him or her.
Whichever camp you start out in, you have will have one advantage and one disadvantage. So in a way, we're all starting out in the same boat.
There are obviously a few exceptions out there, of course. We've all known one or two genetic freaks who seem to pop out of the womb both lean and strong without ever working out a day in their lives. This person is maybe 1 out of 10,000 so let's not have a bad attitude about not being lucky enough to be that one rare person. All the rest of us have a challenge set before us and it is up to us to tackle it if we want to achieve true functional bodyweight strength and fitness.
You can achieve it if you truly want to. Its totally up to you.
Do you want to? All it takes is hard work applied in the right direction. Are you willing to pay the price?
