Behind The Neck Press (snatch grip)

The Behind the Neck Press (snatch grip) is performed exactly like Behind Neck Press (middle grip) except the hands will be placed at the same grip width as you would use for a Snatch.  This exercise increases your lockout strength and shoulder stabilization in the snatch grip position which can assist your strength progress in the Snatch and the Overhead Squat tremendously.

Although this exercise does not actually move the body through space (but rather lifts a barbell overhead instead), it is still very helpful in the attainment of bodyweight strength because of the fact that it requires a high degree of stabilization and it also greatly improves your potential strength and stability in highly important total body exercises that move the body through space (such as the exercises mentioned in the above paragraph).
