Barbell Shrugs
Barbell Shrugs are a great trap builder and thus can greatly assist your functional strength on exercises such as the Clean, the Snatch, and the Deadlift.
To perform the Barbell Shrug, simply load a barbell with the desired weight on a squat rack at about waist height, grab the bar with a Clean width grip, and then shrug the shoulders up as high as possible. After shrugging up, lower your shoulders again, shrug again, etc. Repeat for the planned number of repetitions.
