40 YARD dASH

Bodyweight Strength - The 40 Yard Dash is a very popular training tool (and testing tool) for athletes in explosive sports such as football because it tests the athlete's ability to accelerate rapidly and reach top speed as quickly as possible. For athletes such as receivers and defensive backs in football, the 40 yards dash is a very applicable indicator of ability to perform in that position because they will have to run distances of 30, 40, and even 50+ yards frequently in each game and they will be playing against an opponent who is highly capable of accelerating to top speed very rapidly. If a player desires to be competitive in one of these types of positions, then they must maximize their speed in the 40 Yard Dash.

The 40 Yard Dash is simply performed with bodyweight and does not require any equipment. It will increase speed, bodyweight strength, explosive power, acceleration, and rapid coordination of all of the muscles in the entire body.
